Taido Ishige

石毛泰道［イシゲタイドウ］

１９５３年西東京市（旧保谷市）生まれ。現在、石川県七尾市の曹洞宗・徳雲寺住職。慶應義塾大学文学部卒業、早稲田大学大学院公共経営研究科博士課程修了。フランス国立ストラスブール大学文学部、リセ・テクニーク・ジェスチオン・ロテリエールで学ぶ。現在、コンゴ民主共和国キンシャサ大学に大学院生として在籍中。「石毛しげる」名で元東京都議会議員として活躍していた（本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです）

皆さんはアフリカといったら何を思い出すでしょうか？

　中々日本人には遠い国で、アフリカは54か国あり、それぞれの色を出しながら、我々人類にとって、最後のフロンティアとして「希望」があります。

しかしながら、アフリカはまだまだ経済的に発展しているとは言い難く、学校へ行けない子どもたちが少なくありません。そんな中私はアフリカのこれからの子どもたちをサポートする活動を以前より精力的に続けてきました。

本来であれば、教育環境が整ってこそ、人間としての成長が促進され、ひいてはアフリカの今後の発展にもつながっていく。そんな思いから、石毛住職は自ら活動を起こし、現地に小学校を建立しました。

そうして子どもたちの支援をしながら、一方では人々の生活を支える井戸や消防車といったインフラの整備に取り組んでまいりました。

そしてこの度、一般社団法人CHINAを立ち上げ、更にアフリカの人々のより良い生活を実現し、明日への希望を持ってもらえる活動を続けてまいりますので、今後とも益々のご支援とご愛好を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

What do you think of when you think of Africa?

Africa is a far-off country for Japanese people, and there are 54 countries in Africa, each with its own unique flavor, but for us human beings, there is "hope" as the final frontier.
However, it is difficult to say that Africa is still economically developed, and there are many children who cannot go to school. Under such circumstances, I have been energetically continuing activities to support future children in Africa.

Ideally, a well-developed educational environment would promote human growth, which in turn would lead to the future development of Africa. With this in mind, Reverend Ishige started his own activities and built an elementary school in the area.

In this way, while supporting children, we have also worked to develop infrastructure such as wells and fire trucks that support people's lives.

And now, we have established CHINA, a general incorporated association, and we will continue to carry out activities to realize a better life for the people of Africa and to give them hope for the future. We appreciate your continued support and love. Thank you very much.
